The City of Lawson (pop. 2,473) is currently seeking a qualified City Administrator to work under the general direction of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen. This full-time position is responsible for the planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and expediting the effective and efficient performance of all city services and programs. The successful candidate must be able to create and manage a $3 million budget, oversee and develop personnel and provide leadership to the Mayor, Board of Aldermen, city staff and community. Knowledge of municipal utilities is a plus. Candidates are required to have a Bachelor’s degree in public administration or related discipline and three to ten years of municipal administration or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in local government. Residency in the City within 6 months of hiring is required. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications. The City provides an excellent benefit package.
