Property Damage at City Park
June 09, 2017
The Lawson Police Department is asking for your help in identifying the driver of a light blue Jeep Wrangler with no top or doors. Witnesses reported that the driver drove through the City Park and struck the swing set shortly after 11pm on June 8th. The City of Lawson is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the driver.
Anyone with information can reach the PD through Facebook, by calling 816-580-7210, or through the dispatcher at 816-776-2000.
Caution***Railroad Crossing on Moss
May 17, 2017
The Railroad crossing on Moss is undergoing repairs. The rails have been raised and the railroad will come back and add new approaches on both sides. Unfortunately it will take them a while to accomplish that. You are advised to slow down and proceed with caution.

Work on the culvert on Salem Rd. continues through next week. Please slow down for the workers.
Storm water work on Cardinal and also Montgomery continues as well.
Parking area at City Lake will be closed as of May 8th. Hopefully, they will be in/out soon.
Road and stormwater repairs will be ongoing throughout the summer. We should see a great difference by the end of the season. Sorry for the inconvenience.
And outside Lawson...
Next weekend May 12th - 15th, residents will not be able to access I-35 South from US 69 South as usual. All motorist will be detoured north onto I-35 to Route 92 and then back south on I-35. If residents are aware, they could use Route 92 initially and avoid the detour or take another scenic route.

Roads may be closed for short periods of time.
